Kidney Research - London walk

On Sunday 6th July, the team from Dumbletons Photography  Studio in Cambridge, (plus few friends) did a Charity fundraising walk in London in aid of Kidney Research UK. Despite getting very wet, we had a great time raising money for such a worthy cause. The photograph shows us having a short rest while our youngest companion continued to have a nap. Naturally, despite being out of the studio, a camera was never far away and the temptation to shoot a few memorable pictures overwhelming - especially as the T-shirts were such a beautiful colour ;)
For some of us the day was an interesting diversion from our wedding photography and family studio shoots. For others it turned out to be another "networking" opportunity for our commercial photography !

The Dumbleton Team

Yesterday evening was spent photographing ourselves to get a good picture, of us all, for our new website home page...  The original idea was to use balloons with Dumbleton Photography written on them.  A good idea in theory, but in practice it was not so.  The balloons were quite unruly believe it or not, but it was quite amusing trying.  We then decided to play safe and arranged ourselves on some steps trying to make ourselves approachable and not too scary!

First step into modeling career

Here is Ella, our latest cherub taking her first steps towards a modeling career.  From the first time we met Ella at our Cambridge studio for her first cherub photo shoot when she was just 4 months old, we knew we had found a future star.  She certainly won over all the staff at Dumbletons, who could resist those winning smiles!

Day in Dumbletons Photography Studio

Peter writes:  "Today we have a visitor from London in our Cambridge Studio.
Her name is Michelle and she worked with me on some pictures to update her portfolio.  Michelle is on her way to being cast in a David Lynch movie one day.  Anyone who knows Lynch's movies has to admit that Michelle's appearance is "Lynch's style". We were working together for a whole day to create commercial photographs that would please both me and Michelle. It's not a scecret that professional commercial photography relies on details, and we spent a lot of time finding the perfect cherry that would match the perfect Michelle.  Next time we meet will be in Cambridge again, this time to work on location photography. If you are curious of our future results, please visit our blog again in few weeks."
